Incredible archaeological mission carried out in the Solomon Islands with SEABER YUCO-SCAN Micro-AUV
In collaboration with Sealark Exploration, we were commissioned by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency to perform an archaelogical survey in the Solomon Islands to look after wrecks.
Equipped with the YUCO-SCAN Micro-AUV, we surveyed a wide area and successfully completed the mission!
See below some side scan sonar data collected during one of them! 👀
⛵ HMNZS Moa (T233) was a RNZN bird-class minesweeper that served during World War II.
✈️ The American Wildcat aircraft, likely the Jimmy Swett which sank during WW2 in April 1943 in the Solomon Islands.
Special thanks and congrats to @Quentin Tatibouet for his great job out there and thanks to the whole @Sealark Exploration team for their help and warm welcome! 👏
